BRIEF:
MELUK is an ode to Egyptian history and culture. We aim to express Egyptian culture, history and heritage on high-quality 100% cotton t-shirts. Through these pieces, we aim to tell a story; to shed light upon everything Egyptian, from the times of the Ancient Egyptians, to the golden age of Egyptian cinema, French & Ottoman Architecture, Upper Egypt and modern Egyptian streets.
Our goal is to use t-shirts as a chance to tell a story through every piece. We would like to be perceived as a modern brand, aiming to highlight Egyptian culture through very high quality cotton.

CONCEPT:
The tarboush (fiz) icon is the main logo that represents the Ottoman phase in Egypt. The typography variations are diverse and adaptable to different sizes, materials and designs to suit the timeless concept. Each visual element we use is inspired by one of the Egyptian phases.
At the end, We wanted to create a logo that can fit different context, platforms, printing tequniqes, styles and designs. That's why we designed different versions of the logo that can adapt to various situations and preferences.
